About the platform

An institution built around food, culture, education and opportunity.

The Global Plate is not a restaurant, a catering company or a single event. It is an umbrella platform, founded and hosted by Chef AMG, that delivers programmes, events, competitions and partnerships throughout the year.

Who we are

A youth-focused food, culture and education platform

We bring together students, culinary professionals, government institutions, traditional institutions, businesses, development organisations and communities to celebrate food while creating opportunities for learning, creativity, nutrition awareness, skills development and entrepreneurship.

Our mission

To use food, culture and education as tools for inspiring young people, strengthening communities and creating pathways to opportunity.

Our vision

A generation empowered through food, knowledge, culture and opportunity to create healthier communities and sustainable livelihoods.

Our pillars

Four pillars that shape every programme

Our approach

Why food

Food is one of the few subjects that connects education, health, culture, agriculture, enterprise and community life at the same time. It gives young people a practical entry point into skills and livelihoods, and gives institutions a meaningful platform for engagement.

In practice

What the work looks like

From classrooms to kitchens, farms to community spaces — the platform meets young people where they are.

Advisory & organising team

Team and advisory profiles will be published as the organising structure for each edition is confirmed.

Let's create impact together.

The Global Plate works with institutions and organisations that believe food can become a powerful platform for education, healthier communities, cultural preservation, entrepreneurship and youth opportunity.
